Pierogies with Bacon and Onion

These stick-to-your-ribs dumplings are everything you're looking for in a comfort food -- they're salty, savory and totally soul-satisfying. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a bit of apple sauce on the side, if you like. You can find frozen, pre-made pierogies in the freezer section of your local supermarket.

PREP TIME: 5 minutes
COOK TIME: 10 minutes

Ingredients
10 store-bought pierogies, defrosted (any flavor you like)
3 strips bacon, chopped
1 small yellow onion, chopped
Sour cream, for garnish

Directions
Heat a large skillet to medium. Cook bacon until crisp, about 5-6 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel. Add onion to the same pan and cook for 3-4 minutes. Add pierogies to pan and cook until the pierogies are heated through and onion begins to crisp up. Add bacon back in and serve warm.
