POSITION: Accounting Manager
Job Type: Full Time

Salary: TBD

Accounting Manager will work closely with Peri & Sons Farms’ accounting staff, as well as other departments within the company, to support the monthly and periodic financial reporting process. The position has numerous direct reports and reports to the chief financial officer. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics or finance and 3-5 years of audit experience in a major public accounting firm is required. An active CPA license is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide a high degree of accountability for the financial-close process to support the preparation of the company’s financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, regulatory requirements and industry practices
• Train, manage and review the work of the general accounting department staff
• Review or prepare monthly and quarterly analysis of key accounts
• Prepare analytical reporting for internal and external auditors
• Maintain accuracy, efficiency and quality control over the daily accounting operations and financial close process
• Establish new financial controls as business needs change
• Ensure compliance with documentation/control requirements of the company’s various divisions as requested
• Research and interpret accounting issues encountered from new or unique transactions and provide formal documentation of company’s position of accounting treatment
• Assist the financial-reporting department with disclosure and supporting documentation for internal and external reporting requirements
• Support the development or modification of the company’s accounting policy and procedures to continue to comply with GAAP
• Provide support to external departments that require financial information, as requested
