Since 1979, Peri & Sons Farms has been committed to producing onions and produce of the highest quality. Recently, there has been media attention to a development at the Anaconda Mine in Yerington and its designation by the EPA as a site requiring remediation. While we have never been affected by the status of the mine, we are glad that the site will finally get the support needed.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Nevada Department of Environmental Protection (NDEP) have always stated that agricultural products in this area are completely safe because they have independently tested both soil and water since 2004. Additionally, our own internal long term sampling practice for both soil and water further proves the safety on our farms.
SCS Certivied. USDA Certified Organic.
In January 2016, we became the first domestic onion farming operation to achieve the Sustainably Grown certification from SCS Global Services, which is an incredible accomplishment and a great source of Peri Family pride.

In short, the status of the Anaconda Mine has never affected our farming operation. We are proud of our operation and our decades-long family tradition of providing the safest onions and produce to customers across the country and around the world.

Growing Good Things
With deep farming roots that took hold over 100 years ago, four generations later, our family is still doing what we love -- growing, packing and shipping premium onions from our farm.

We invite you to browse our website to learn about our efforts to bring safe, nutritious, no-GMO onions to market, in an environmentally responsible way, and how we’re making a positive impact on the social and economic well-being of our employees and our local communities.

Onions are used in every cuisine around the world. They can be baked, sautéed, broiled, fried, roasted, spiced up, barbecued, pickled or candied. Join our free Onion Obsession club for monthly recipes or peruse our recipe page for onion inspiration.
